DESCRIPTION
Name: Ailin Kress
Alias: N/A
Race: Sea Elf (Elf/Merfolk hydbrid)
Class: Druid- Circle of the Land (Coast)
Guild: Simic
Ht/Wt: 5'8"/140 lbs
Appearance: Ailin stands with purpose and drive. Upon first glance, his skin appears smoothly of a sea green color, but upon closer inspection, tiny ridged scales cover his body. He has light blue eyes, and silky aqua hair that he keeps in a ponytail flowing down his back. In general, he eschews clothing outside of pants fitted for aquatic environments.
Personality/Mannerisms: Ailin is well meaning, but socially inept. His mutation process and extended time in the zonots have left him with very few social skills pertinent to the rest of Ravnica. He often records his findings from these discussions. However, that isn't to say Ailin is apathetic. He usually cares about those he meets and requests this information to better understand those around him and to offer aid to the best of his ability if the need arises.

34. What does Character feel about each of the other Guilds?
Azorius Senate (Blue/White) - Ailin feels that the guild is needed, but is too rigid and and far too intrusive into other's domains to be properly effective
Boros Legion (Red/White) - Though less rigid than the Azorius, they are even more intrusive and rely too much on feelings and instincts instead of proper protocol in their efforts.
House Dimir (Black/Blue) - Who?
Golgari Swarm (Green/Black) - He values the guild and their place in society and feels sorry that they are not more appreciated. However, he believes that the guild is too vindictive and selfish and needs to understand it's place in balance with the other guilds.
Gruul Clans (Green/Red) - Ailin feels pity for the guild, as they seem to want the best for nature, but take too little time to truly understand it. They simply act of impulse and instinct instead of the true understanding that comes from study and inspection.
Izzet League (Red/Blue) - He approves of their works in helping with the infrastructure of Ravnica, but is heavily concerned by the collateral damage the guild causes in their pursuits.
Orzhov Syndicate (Black/White) - While he appreciates the function of the banks and their aid in funding, he feels their focus on wealth and status accumulation, in particular at the expense of the poor and guildless, is misguided at best and parasitic at worst.
Cult of Rakdos (Black/Red) - Ailin appreciates amusement, but has seen first hand many victims from the cult and thus finds their extreme tastes unpalatable and in need of serious reform.
Selesnya Conclave (Green/White) - Perhaps the one other guild that Ailin genuinely appreciates. * The Guildless (none/unaffiliated) - He feels deep pity for the guildless, as his family was guildless when he was brought to the doctors. He saw how many of the guilds as they stand abuse and neglect those who fall through the cracks. Within the Simic Combine, he promotes proper use of ethics and informed consent instead of using the guildless and mindless experimental rats.
35. What is Character's own color alignment, and does it match the Guild? Blue/Green reflecting his guild
36. Describe the Character's ideal mate. Ailin is focused on serving his evolutionary duty of siring healthy and fit offspring to continue to further his people. As such, he is looking for a woman with good physical trait that indicate good health and ease of reproduction. However, he care for more than just physical appearance. Overall health is important. This includes mental health. He also seeks someone with good maternal skills and a caring, patient nature to ensure their children have the best chance at being their evolutionary best. He himself plans to take a very active role in his childrens' live and rearing and is looking for someone who shares that vision, while also being open to any enhancements he and the guild deem would be beneficial.
37. Character has just seen a relative committing a most heinous crime. How do they respond? Ailin would attempt to logically justify his actions as needed for the better good and would likely get very frustrated when the authorities would likely disagree. He would be unlikely to physically fight or object, but would likely be calmly debating with them during the entire arrest process.
38. How does Character feel about Ravnica as a whole? Ailin believes that Ravnica is delightfully diverse. He does wish that there was more space for areas of nature to grow more organically, but firmly believes that even in a planewide city, nature will find a way, guided by the loving hands of the Simic.
39. How did your Character meet their most recent ally? And adversary? Rill is a new student of the University and Simic Initiate who was assigned to Ailin as his first student. So far, Ailin has enjoyed Rill's aid and he see's much potential in the young vedalken, but Rill still has a lot to learn.
Zunak and Bolsa were recently assigned to monitor the Simic and, for reasons unknown to Ailin, seem to enjoy harassing him and making a mess of his lab in attempts to find something illicit. The only thing Ailin fears they may find are his notes on the cyotplast project, which he has intentionally kept very well hidden in his home and not in the laboratory.
40. How will Character be remembered? (Ideally) Ailin would like to be remembered as promoting and serving the health and evolution of the population of Ravnica through his research and active medical roles.
